1k and 3k weave fiber arrow ??

I've recently received many inquiries about 3K and 1K arrow shafts so I'd like to share some of my humble opinions as a carbon arrow manufacturer.

1. Regarding strength, we believe that 1K arrow shafts, due to their denser fiber layers, might be slightly stronger. However, our tests haven't shown a significant difference. I think the strength of 3K arrow shafts is already quite sufficient for archery. You can check the strength of your own 3K arrow or search other brand's 3K arrows on the market.

2. Straightness. Since straightness is a critical factor, the quality of straightness can be judged by whether a reputable manufacturer indicates +/-. .003", so the straightness of the arrow shaft is a certain. From the manufacturer's perspective, we tried making a batch of 1k shafts, and the outcome comparsion shows 1k shafts slightly better than our 3k shafts of the .001" straightness,. But as our production quantity is small, so I'm not sure if this is meaningful, but as I said, straightness like .001" or .003" is measured and picked out from all the shafts after production

3. Resilience and impact resistance: Theoretically, a 1k shaft rebounds faster and might have slightly lower impact resistance than a 3k shaft, but this is only theoretical. In actual testing, it's very difficult to measure rebound; basically, all carbon fiber shafts rebound very quickly, making it hard to detect differences. 4. Price: This is a significant difference. 1k carbon fiber is generally 2-3 times more expensive than 3k carbon fiber, and its production efficiency is also slower, resulting in a much higher price for 1k arrow shafts. 5. In summary, if you are a consumer who doesn't care about price, I think you can try 1k shafts, as they are indeed quite special, and there aren't many 1k shafts on the market today.
